Welcome to TellUsATale.com!
29 June 2009
Welcome to the world of Tell Us A Tale. My name is Peter Jones, and I am your host. For those of you already familiar with the radio program and storytelling that spawned this website, consider this your personal invitation to find out more about the people behind the voices you hear
on different radio stations all over the world; including WTJU 91.1 FM in the Central Virginia area. You can listen to the show by clicking on the old fashioned radios at the right side of each page of TellUsATale.com. You can also hear the past week's program, and get the pertinent information (title, author, illustrator, publisher, etc...) on all the stories by visiting the Past Stories page.
The show is available on different radio stations around the world in syndication.
Find out how you can get this program aired on your local station for FREE.
For those of you not familiar with the radio show or me, the easiest way to get a crash course is to simply click on any one of the old fashioned radios to the right of your screen. You can of course also click on any of the links to the left of your screen to get actual details. This will be an ever changing site, so stop by as often as you would like; chances are you will discover something new each time.
In honor of Independence Day being just a few days away, we told some tales this week from around the United States. You can listen to those stories and more at the Past Stories page.
Well, that's enough for this rant. Drop me a note, and let me know what you think. In the meantime, start poking around and see what you can discover.
Until the next time,
Peter
P.S. Last year I had the chance to meet with the National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, Jon Scieszka (perhaps better known as the Stinky Cheese Man). Listen to what he had to say about his foundation, Guys Read.
